Parish Entrepreneurship Learning Association (PELA)
In the Year 2008, Gudie leisure farm committed to create a critical mass of 1,000,000 Youth Agripreneur Champion lead householdsthat would drive the transformation of themselves, their families and their communities by the year 2030. It was also important to have a community of transformers that journey together in a PELA. A PELA is the Parish Entrepreneurship Learning Association.
Gudie Leisure farm is operating in 873 Parishes with active PELAs. Each PELA has a growth plan guided by the DECA hub: Development, learning, Industry, production, processing, trading, financial agritourism, health, and documentation hubs. All PELAs have an end in mind, and they work towards this.
PELAs are measured quarterly to gauge their progress, address challenges, and amplify enablers. With all the hubs in place the PELAs will be an economic engine that provides direct employment for at least 2500 YACs and indirect employment for 7500 Youth.
Our goal is to create employment for 10,000,000 youth by the year 2030. This is a very ambitious journey and therefore requires many actors to achieve its reality.
