Translating Knowledge into Business

Gudie Leisure Farm is a social enterprise that transforms African agribusiness by empowering its vast human resource with the competences required to start and build strong and sustainable agro-based enterprises.

Our Goals

To create a profitable and sustainable agribusiness company by 2030.

To build sustainable Parish Entrepreneurship Learning Associations (PELAs) across Uganda by 2030.

To create and develop organized agribusiness markets for our eco-system’s value chain products by 2030.

To establish the Gudie Agribusiness University by 2030.

To establish a Gudie Agribusiness Bank by 2030.

Empowering Youth

We transform African agribusiness by empowering the youth with the competences required to start and build strong and sustainable agro-based enterprises.

We mobilize, organize and build the capacity of youth-owned MSEs that operate at the different nodes of the white meat, cereals, oilseeds, tubers, pulses and horticultural value chains to profitably and competitively produce and deliver high quality products and services to the marketplace as competent inter-linked supply chain partners.
“The sustainable growth and prosperity of our country and continent requires committed investment in the development of strong collaborations between and amongst the different actors in its agricultural value chains.”

Our Success Stories

2023 The Year of Regional Spotlight

We thank God for an opportunity of a lifetime that has enabled us to experience and learn from the history, culture, political environment, social environment, investment and business opportunities and aspirations of the Youth in all the ten sub regions of Uganda. This has been a great journey of interconnectedness from our history, innovations revealed by our technologies, timeless norms and beliefs, appreciating gifted hands of the region, nourishing cuisines and the beauty in the regions.

We recognize the countless efforts of our entire network that have made this possible. We pride in the beautiful region stories, region curriculum and the region museum and craft center.

The year 2024 will leverage our region experience, knowledge and potential. Our focus is on three major deliverables:

1. Strengthening the cottage industries as an engine of growth

  • Doing an ecosystem mapping of 12 major cottages and running a symposium that links all actors along a specific cottage.
  • Standardizing production, processing and packaging of selected commodities.
  •  Aggregating production by the masses to penetrate large markets.

2. Ceasing the beauty and potential of the regions through agritourism

  • A multimedia publication of the beautiful region PELA stories to boast community business tourism will be launched in December, 2024.
  • The Youth Agripreneur champion talent as a fundraiser for the industry technologies for each PELA. The documentary of the journey through the beautiful regions.
  • The gifted hands beadwork, basketry and pottery products for high end markets to fetch investment income into the PELA industries.

3. More foot soldiers to boast Youth Led region transformation.

The WestNile, Lango, Acholi, Teso, Elgon, Karamoja and Busoga region need extra presence to bolster Youth Agripreneur Champion led transformation.

Thank you all for Journeying with us.
